About Me

Nearly 20 years ago I was fortunate to make the transition to business owner quite unexpectedly when my children were very young. With a background in corporate project management, I found myself in the world of student services offering accommodation to international students. I worked with leading Universities across Australia and travelling throughout Southeast Asia to market and grow my accommodation business.

Well, that was wonderful until Covid hit, and it all came to a grinding halt. The international borders closed, and students stopped coming to Australia for well over two years. Like many, I suddenly found myself with time on my hands and so began my pandemic pivot.

Amid Covid, I started a new business in hyper local news media for my local community. At a time when most of my friends were relaxing and watching Netflix, I was embarking on my newest venture, print media no less. I heard the words “print media is dead”, I challenged the status quo and started something totally new and foreign to me. I saw an opportunity, a gap in the market, and I jumped in. The community embraced this publication ‘The Post’ and it’s become a source for hyper local news, community, health and lifestyle and even political commentary.

My lived experience as a business owner is now an asset as your coach. I have been in start-up phase, I have been up to till the small hours, I have been in your shoes, but I did so all alone with no mentor to bounce idea’s off or trouble shoot with.
